Hello :)

Haven Sandoval brings a rich cultural heritage to her sessions and is of Nuevomexicano descent. From the small town of Belén — her family has been living in what is now New Mexico since time immemorial.

Haven earned her B.A. in Art History from Smith College in Western Massachusetts before finding her way back home. Today, Haven lives in Santa Fe with her partner, Da’Wun, and their "fur babies," drawing inspiration from the land and history that shaped her.

  • Nope, all painting supplies are provided.

  • Expect short outdoor walking and painting on uneven terrain, in varying weather conditions, at elevations of approximately 5,000–7,000 feet above sea level.

    Expect bright sun, open skies, and the possibility of shifting winds or passing clouds that bring new colors and movement to the landscape.

    Warm late-afternoon temperatures generally hovering between 78°F and 83°F

    We recommend bringing:

    • Layers for changing temperatures

    • A hat and sunscreen for high-desert sun

    • Water and comfortable walking shoes

  • Luminaria Art Studio sessions may take place outdoors and may be canceled or rescheduled due to unsafe weather conditions, including thunderstorms, heavy rain, wildfire smoke, extreme temperatures, or other hazardous conditions.

    Sessions will also be canceled or rescheduled if sustained winds are forecasted or observed to exceed 25 mph during the session.

    Participants will be notified as soon as possible, typically at least 3 hours before the scheduled start time. If Luminaria Art Studio cancels a session, participants may choose to:

    • Transfer their registration to a future session

    • Receive studio credit

    • Receive a full refund

    Participant cancellations remain subject to the standard cancellation policy.
